Public presentation of their publication

Gérald Kurdian is currently preparing an opera for the 2021 edition of the Kunstenfestivaldesarts. Each element of the production is being developed collaboratively and is based on the very particular knowledge of specific people. In 2019, Kurdian and the apprentice auto mechanics in the 5th year at the Institut Saint-Joseph, created a home for a post-capitalist world inside the carcass of an old car. Their habitat of the future, presented under the name HOT BODIES — CAMP in 2019, will form part of the opera’s scenography. This year, Kurdian has been working on the libretto with the apprentice cabinet makers and auto mechanics in the 7th year at the same school. From January to May, these young people offer a reflection on the museum space, on culture, and on living together via speculative writing and the creation of a fanzine.
