When does the next edition of the KunstenFESTIVALdesArts take place? The ninth edition of the KunstenFESTIVALdesArts will take place from the end of April to 22 May 2004. Where can I find out more information about next year’s programme? From March 2004, on this website, you will have access to the full programme of our new productions, practical information and our reservation and ticketing service. You can also surf to our Contact page and leave us your snail mail (postal) address, in order to get our brochure, printed in mid-March, in your letter box. What will be the theme of the festival in 2004? From the outset the festival is not constructed around any pre-established theme. It is an expression of what performers have to say all over the world. There are those who, when they meet in May, build on trends a posteriori and shape the current climate. What is there on the restaurant menu at the festival Centre? The menu changes every day, for vegetarians AND for carnivores. Our chef, De Vliegende Kok, serves up a varied range of healthy and tasty dishes. Why is there a hole in your poster? Because we would like to invite the public to the other side of the mirror, to reverse appearances…It's the unknown, from the view of someone else, a journey into the 100 universes that someone else sees and that we are. Why do you have this unusual name - KunstenFESTIVALdesArts? Because of "Place Flageyplein", "Avenue Rogierlaan", Métro "Kunst / Wet". In Brussels/Bruxelles the information that makes up a part of daily life comes in 2 languages. And "FESTIVAL" is international… Why not? End of the theatre season, last burst of shows before the summer, the first rays of sun… Will we understand everything that is being said in the shows? Read the subtitles! All shows in foreign languages are subtitled in Dutch AND in French and all shows in Dutch are subtitled in French and vice versa. Where does the festival take place? Its shows are spread out in about twenty different locations in the capital. |
