Notre projet était le sien : « Plus je me multiplie par les autres, mieux je deviens moi-même. Car personne ne perd son identité culturelle en s’ouvrant grand à celle des autres », disait-il. Depuis l’ébauche première du KunstenFESTIVALdesArts en 1992, André Delvaux présida notre conseil d’administration. Pour lui, un engagement de tous les instants. Pour nous, une présence inspirante qui accompagnait de lumière et de sensibilité nos défis et nos questionnements. Sa passion et son enthousiasme, son exigence intransigeante et son refus radical de toute petitesse : un cadeau inestimable.

As an international festival based in Europe and working regularly with artists who are far from their countries of birth, the KunstenFESTIVALdesArts supports individuals with or without the appropriate identity papers who are forced to cross frontiers. We still support their struggle to live with dignity and freedom.
