Where to eat, meet & mingle?

Tables and chairs, coffee and drink, loud and not-so-loud music... but also Céleste, a visual project by Valentine Kempynck. In May 2008 the Beursschouwburg will be the epicentre of the Kunstenfestivaldesarts, a meeting point for artists and the audience.

With just a few simple but radical alterations, stylist and costume designer Valentine Kempynck will transform the Beursschouwburg café into a surprising meeting place. Paper is her raw material, and the festival centre her model. Large sheets of white paper will cover the tables in the café, and they will bear the traces of the festival's 23 days. Layers and words and circles and wine. They are the silent witnesses which will gradually evolve into an organic installation-performance in which the history of Kunstenfestivaldesarts 08 will be kept.
9/05 - 31/05 > 18:00 - ...

The cooks of the AB Café will be making their way to the Beursschouwburg to serve up colourful, original and healthy dishes.

His observations will then be broadcast on a weekly basis via webcam, which you can catch on a big screen at the festival centre. (...)
